Pacific Northwest Regional Council of Carpenters - Carpenters Local Union 1281, Anchorage

Look around you. Just about every building in your community was at least partially built by skilled carpenters...your home...your school...the malls where you shop ...the office buildings. To be a carpenter is to be a member of one of the oldest and most respected trades. Carpenters work with many tools and materials to build houses, erect skyscrapers, construct bridges, tunnels and highways. You can build a lifetime career in carpentry, if you like working with tools and like to create things. Hammer out a well built future with training in carpentry.

Chartered in 1938, Carpenters Local 1281 is the largest UBC Local in Alaska. Local 1281 services the area of Southcentral Alaska, south of the 63rd parallel, and is located in Anchorage. Our members perform every aspect of the trade working as commercial carpenters, residential carpenters, interior systems carpenters, lathers & drywallers, cabinet makers, and millworkers.
